Kim Campbell, Director, Industry Human Resource Development

Kim Campbell, Director, Industry Human Resource Development

Kim joins go2 with more than nine years of corporate and consulting experience in human resources. Most recently she worked for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Winter Games (VANOC) in the role of Director, Human Resources, leading the development and execution of VANOC's recruitment and retention programs, such as orientation, compensation and benefits, immigration and relocation, employee relations, and outplacement and dissolution. Prior to VANOC, Kim worked at Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson) as a compensation consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. At go2, Kim is responsible for overseeing and managing all industry recruitment and retention programs, including tourism career awareness, industry health and safety and the Workforce Inclusion Initiative (WII-STEP).

Lauren Bond, Manager, Industry Workforce Development

Lauren has over seven years of human resources generalist experience, including her most recent role as the human resources team lead with VANOC. Her past experience includes working for SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts and Princess Cruises. Lauren is a BCIT Alumni, completing both the Human Resource Management and Tourism Marketing Management Programs. Lauren is responsible for working with tourism and hospitality operators and stakeholders on various areas of the industry's workforce development plan, promoting effective human resource practices, and managing the implementation of go2's industry health & safety initiatives.

Murray Robertson, Manager, Industry Human Resource Development

Murray Robertson, Manager, Industry Human Resource Development

Murray has more than 10 years of human resources management experience in unionized and non-unionized hospitality environments. For the last two years, he has acted as Human Resources Management Consultant with Viceroy Hotel Group, assisting in the development and coordination of HR practices and policies at the company's newest properties in Anguilla, Colorado and California, as well as taking on the role of interim director of human resources at three hotels in Beverly Hills, California. Prior to Viceroy Hotel Group, Murray was the Human Resources Manager at Loden Hotel and Edgewater Casino. He holds a B.A. from the University of Alberta and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from BCIT. Murray is responsible for working with tourism and hospitality operators and stakeholders on various areas of the industry's Human Resource Action Plan, promoting effective human resource practices, attracting job seekers to the tourism workforce, and managing the implementation of go2's industry health & safety initiatives.

Trina Wright, Program Manager, Industry Health and Safety

Trina Wright, Program Manager, Industry Health and Safety

Trina is responsible for researching, planning and developing various tools, resources and strategies to aid employers to develop and manage health and safety programs in their workplace. Prior to joining go2, Trina was with the BC Human Resources Management Association (BC HRMA) working on projects such as managing the professional mentoring program and membership services. Trina has also worked as a compensation consultant with Western Compensation and Benefits, and has run a consulting business in the areas of business development and event management. Trina holds a BA in Psychology from UBC and is working towards an Associate Certificate in non-profit management at BCIT.

Michael Guzmicky, COR Program Manager

Michael Guzmicky, Program Manager, Certificate of Recognition

Michael brings more than 18 years of experience in workplace health & safety, project management and hospitality. For the past 9 years, he has been at WorkSafeBC as an industry specialist for the hospitality sector and later for the area focusing on young and new worker injury prevention. Prior to WorkSafeBC, Michael was an instructor at Vancouver Premier College of Hotel Management and worked at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver in various food and beverage management positions. He holds a MBA from Herriott-Watt University in the U.K. and a B.Comm. in Hotel and Food Administration from the University of Guelph, and is a Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC). Michael is responsible for managing the Certificate of Recognition (COR) Program for tourism and hospitality operators, supporting them in completing the registration and certification process, and providing technical health and safety expertise to the industry.

Debbie Yule, Vice President, Industry Training

Debbie Yule assumed leadership of go2's industry training initiatives in October 2007. A member of go2's senior management team since November 2004, Debbie has previously been responsible for managing the redevelopment of the Serving It Right™ program, the redevelopment of the go2 website, and the development of the MOVE ON UP™ tourism career awareness brand. Debbie has over a decade of senior-level corporate experience in marketing, strategic planning, business development, project management, quality and process improvement and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from UBC. She also brings entrepreneurial experience as a tourism operator as well as 10 years of frontline experience in the restaurant business.

Dennis Green, Senior Manager, Industry Training

Dennis Green, Senior Manager, Industry Training

Dennis Green joined go2 in November 2007, as program manager for the cook, baker, meatcutter and tidal angling guide apprenticeship programs. Dennis is a Red Seal chef with over twenty years of experience, most recently as Executive Chef at Bishop's Restaurant in Vancouver. Passionate about his profession and related culinary and food service training needs, Dennis has also co-authored two of Bishop's cookbooks, traveled internationally as a guest chef, provided consulting services on major events, and been featured on television and print media.

Jacqueline Nakano, Customer Service Representative

Jacqueline Nakano, Customer Service Representative

Jacqueline has extensive experience in customer service and maintaining client relations. Prior to joining go2, she had worked at HBC/GE Money for 18 years, taking on responsibilities such as administration, customer service and client accounts management. At go2, Jacqueline handles general customer inquiries, Serving It Right and FOODSAFE programs as well as provides administrative support to the go2 team.

Erin moved to BC in 2009 from Ontario, where she held customer service and administrative positions with retail and hospitality employers such as Delta Pinestone Resort, Bell World and RW&CO. In addition to handling Serving It Right and general customer enquiries, Erin also offers administrative assistance to the go2 team.

Michele Priddy, Program Assistant

Michele Priddy, Program Assistant, Industry Training

Michele is the program assistant to go2's industry training team. She joined the go2 team with more than ten years of experience working in administrative and customer service positions, including her most recent employment as the program manager with Avcorp Industries Inc. Michele holds a Travel Agent Certificate from the Canadian Tourism College and has received training in occupational first aid and security.

Linda Halingten, Customer Service Manager, Industry Training

Linda Halingten, Customer Service Manager, Industry Training

After many years of managing the emerit program in BC on behalf of the Canadian Tourism HR Sector Council, Linda was promoted in June 2008 to the role of Customer Service Manager for go2's industry training program. For 9 years prior to joining go2, Linda worked for the Pacific Rim Institute of Tourism on emerit and other CTHRC programs. Prior to that, she apprenticed as a baker at the Monte Cristo Bakery and owned The Muffin Lady in downtown Vancouver. Linda's industry experience and passion for the culinary trades is an asset in leading customer service activities for industry training and facilitating the development of training standards to assist apprentices, employers and educators.

Tania Loken, Program Manager, emerit

Tania Loken, Program Manager, emerit

Tania brings to go2 a solid understanding of the industry and more than 13 years of tourism experience. Primarily in sales roles, Tania has worked with such notable organizations as Renaissance Hotels and Resorts, Intrawest, Westin Hotels and Resorts, Delta Hotels & Resorts and Tourism Whistler. Tania recently completed her Master of Arts in International Hotel Management from Royal Roads University and is currently in the process of completing her Provincial Instructors Diploma.

Policy and Research

Peter Larose, Director, Policy & Research

Peter Larose, Director, Policy and Research

Peter has more than 10 years of experience in government affairs, research, project management and program development. His four-plus years with the Council of Tourism Associations (COTA) equipped Peter with a wealth of knowledge about policy, key trends, challenges and issues faced by BC's tourism industry. Peter holds a M.A. in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a B.A. from the University of Victoria. Peter's role focuses on tourism employment policy and research initiatives, including labour market research and analysis, and foreign worker and immigration programs.

Marketing and Communications

Keith Baker, Director, Marketing and Communications

Keith Baker, Director, Marketing and Communications

Keith joins go2 with 12 years of progressive experience in brand management, marketing and communications. Prior to joining go2, Keith worked at Tourism British Columbia developing creative and communications strategies to market British Columbia leading up to, during, and after the successful Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Keith has also worked extensively with Procter & Gamble, in Canada and Europe, building some of the world's leading beauty brands through consumer research, product innovation, and results-driven marketing campaigns. His portfolio of brands includes Pantene and Max Factor, with launches spanning over 25 countries, from Greece to Russia, and South Africa to Saudi Arabia. Keith holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University.

Alex Mrazek, Webmaster

Alex Mrazek, Webmaster

Alex joins go2 with more than 12 years of experience in website administration, design and content management. Prior to joining go2, Alex was with SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts for four years. He studied web programming and graphic design in post-secondary and brings solid experience in search engine optimization and web statistics analysis. His primary responsibilities include providing development and technical support for go2's websites, assisting with go2's social media and e-marketing initiatives, as well as overseeing website administration.

Joyce Lam, Communications and Marketing Specialist

Joyce Lam, Communications and Marketing Specialist

Joyce comes to go2 with more than three years of communications, marketing and event planning experience with non-profit organizations. She holds a BBA in Marketing from SFU Business, as well as Associate Certificates from BCIT in Public Relations and Marketing Communications. Joyce assists the director of marketing and communications with the overall branding, PR and communications, as well as marketing key go2 programs which include career awareness, website and industry training.

Governance, Finance and Administration

Arlene Keis, CEO

Arlene Keis, CEO

Arlene was hired in 2002 to lead the creation and development of go2. She has over 20 years of HR experience including development and implementation of progressive human resources services at the operational, corporate, and industry levels in both public and private sectors. Arlene holds a M.Ed. in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a B.Ed. from the University of Victoria. She is also designated as a Certified Human Resources Professional. Arlene manages and oversees the overall operations and strategic direction at go2.

Claire Druce, Controller

Claire has over 12 years' experience in finance and administration, primarily with BC Hot House Foods, Autostock International and most recently with Product Care Association. Product Care is a not-for-profit industry association that manages product stewardship programs for household hazardous and special waste on behalf of its members across Canada. Claire has held the positions of Director of Finance and Administration, Controller and Regional Accounting Manager. Claire has a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of Calgary, and has been a Certified General Accountant (CGA) since 2002.

Ramin Sabouhi, Controller

Ramin Sabouhi, Controller

Ramin is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with 10 years of experience in financial accounting positions in the non-profit and private sectors. Most recently he was the Manager, Finance with the Vancouver Foundation, responsible for managing the payroll system, working with the bank and investment management companies on financial reports, and increasing efficiency in cross-departmental interactions. Prior to Vancouver Foundation, he held the Controller position with Pacific Salmon Foundation and the Covenant House Vancouver. Ramin started his career as an engineer, with a BEng from the University of Tehran in Iran and a diploma in Business Administration from BCIT and transitioned to finance.

Charlene Prystupa, Program Assistant

Charlene Prystupa, Program Assistant

Prior to joining go2, Charlene worked as a Customer Service Representative for Brewers Distribution Ltd. Her expertise in customer service adds to the winning team at go2. She has completed a certificate in Microsoft Office, and is currently working as the Program Assistant. Her primary duties include coordination of events and conferences, providing assistance to go2's management team, the Tourism Career Awareness Program, and go2's tourism-only job board.

Jocelyn Lee, Accounting Administrator

Jocelyn Lee, Accounting Administrator

Jocelyn's diverse accounting knowledge makes her a valuable addition to the team at go2. Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and has acquired numerous years of accounting experience from large corporate firms as well as small businesses.
