Are you a sponsor or apprentice trying to plan your next level of training? If so, your search just became easier with the following two websites that link you directly to your training level program and the institutions that offer it.
The Trades Training Consortium of BC has developed a web site of BC Apprentice Training Schedules where you can access information on the dates and length of training programs offered at public post-secondary institutions. You can also link to each institution's website for more detailed information on registration and costs.
The B.C. Council on Admissions and Transfer maintains a web site called Education Planner where you can access program admissions information at public post-secondary institutions and link to each institution's website. Education Planner contains a searchable database that provides details on more than 1,500 undergraduate programs offered at these institutions, including foundation and apprenticeship programs. You can search the database by field, subject, secondary school focus area, program length, or institution. The site also includes apprenticeship contact information and program lists for each public post-secondary institution.
Note to remember: Cook and Baker programs are sometimes listed under the Tourism & Hospitality departments instead of under Trades Training.
