A golf shop salesperson is responsible for the merchandize sale in the golf shop. They interact with members and guests in the golf shop, collect fees as well as assist in inventory control.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise members and guests about attire, golf clubs and supplies, etc.
  • Arrange and display golf shop inventory
  • Record all sales transactions
  • Collect and record greens fees and cart rental fees
  • Issue receipts for greens fees and cart rentals
  • Take messages for players who may be on course
  • Assist in packing and unpacking inventory
  • Recruit tournament participants
  • Assist in special orders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Customer service and sales experience
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team
  • Knowledge of the game of golf an asset
