Top 10 Ways go2’s Facebook pages can Help you Recruit!

As a new part of go2’s Move On Up career awareness activities, go2 has created two brand-new Facebook pages as a way to promote career opportunities within BC’s tourism industry and connect BC tourism employers with potential employees.

Why two pages? Well, Move on Up with a Career in Tourism is geared towards those within Canada, and Work Live Play BC is targeted to potential international employees with a focus on younger people that can take advantage of Student Work Abroad and the Working Holiday programs. We encourage you to check the pages out, feel free to become a fan and read below for the top 10 ways your organization can interact and benefit from our pages!

  1. Become a Fan of both pages: By supporting our pages, you will also be spreading the word.
  2. Recruit employees by creating and uploading videos and adding company photos: Showcase your company’s culture and demonstrate why your company is a great place to work (see Work and Play at Mount Washington for an example).
  3. Post your jobs on go2’s Job Board because your jobs will now also be displayed on our Facebook pages.
  4. Participate in Discussion Forums: Start your own topic, or contribute to an existing one.
  5. Upcoming events? Do you have an upcoming open house or job fair? Let us know and we’ll promote it on our page!
  6. Connect with potential employees in Canada and across the world!
  7. On-going contests and give-aways: Encourage current employees to take part in our contest on our Move on Up page, and they can win an iPod touch!
  8. Leverage go2’s marketing investment – We will be driving traffic to these sites by a variety of advertising and marketing tactics throughout the year.
  9. Encourage employees to share their own ‘Move on Up’ success story as a way to promote your company.
