Foodservice wages soar 7.7% in 2006

The average weekly wage for foodservice employees in Canada grew 7.7% in the first seven months of 2006, fuelled by robust demand for workers in Western Canada, an increase in the number of hours worked per week in other provinces, and recent minimum wage hikes.
