We have compiled a list of health and safety education and training providers, ranging from in-class courses to webinars and podcasts.

BC Employers' Advisers Office (EAO)

The EAO is a branch of the BC Ministry of Skills Development and Labour, independent of WorkSafeBC.  It provides free seminars on a variety of topics: occupational health and safety requirements, an introduction to the Workers Compensation Act, claims management, disability management, Joint OH&S Committees, emergency preparedness and assessments.

Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)Podcasts

CCOHS produces informative monthly podcasts designed to keep you current with information on a range of health and safety subjects, including Leading Your Team to a Healthier Workplace, Keeping Young Workers Safe, Working Alone and New Worker Orientation Is Key!  These podcasts are available at no cost.

Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Webinars

CCOHS is recognized worldwide for providing programs, services and knowledge that help organizations raise awareness, assess risks, implement prevention programs, and improve the health, safety and well-being of workers. These free or nominal-cost webinars are available on a wide variety of topics.

WorkSafe Education Network

WorkSafe education courses are offered by the WorkSafe Education Network, comprised of training providers from all sectors that meet criteria specified by WorkSafeBC. There are five one-day courses offered: Hazard Recognition and Control, Responsibilities of Joint Health and Safety Committees, Preventing and Investigating Musculoskeletal Injury (MSI), Preventing Workplace Violence, and Supervisor Safety Management.
