2010 JOBS: Exhibition Volunteers (Part of Cultural Olympiad Event)

Volunteers are needed between Feb 10 and March 21, 2010 to give mini tours of our Cultural Olympiad exhibition "Spirit of Place: Beijing, Vancouver & London Young Artists Exhibition-Olympic Themes"

Location: Chinese Cultural Center Museum, Zodiac Square, 50 East Pender Street, Vancouver.

Volunteers will welcome guests to the exhibition, give mini tours and guide visitors to make "Olympic wishes". Converted Beijing Tricycles will become mobile art studios for visitors to make "Olympic wishes", which will be displayed at the Bamboo/Cedar Welcome Gates installed by ID graduates from Emily Carr.

Participation: Each volunteer shift is three or four hours (more than one shift is available for volunteers)

Schedule:

• Jan. 22-Feb 3: Install the Exhibition: Lawrence Lowe, Sheila Hall, Sam Carter
• Jan 31: Volunteer Orientation 1 pm: 555 Columbia St, Chinese Cultural Centre east wing, second floor: one block west of Main between Keefer and Pender
• Feb 7: Volunteer Orientation 1 pm: 555 Columbia St, Chinese Cultural Centre east wing, second floor: one block west of Main between Keefer and Pender
• Feb 8-Feb 28: Gallery welcome and present tours for Vancouver school children and visitors  
• Feb 17: Official Opening of Exhibition
