Sales Manager - Corporate

This position is to cover a Maternity Leave from November 2, 2010 until October 31, 2011.

Description of Duties:

• To maximize hotel revenue and customer service goals by negotiating business within the assigned market segments and ensure accuracy throughout the booking process
• Continually developing and improving standards to ensure the service received is of the highest quality
• Represent the hotel in a professional manner at industry-related events locally & outside of Victoria
• Achieve targets for prospecting and provide weekly reports for bookings and activities
• Responsible for creating all proposals and contracts for clients
• Conduct site inspections of hotel and meet clients, sometimes outside of regular office hours
• Plan all sales activities as outlined in annual plan, including making appointments with clients and booking all travel arrangements

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of two years experience in hotel sales, high-end property experience preferred
• The successful candidate is client-focused and able to build strong relationships
• Independent worker who is able to effectively manage his or her own time schedule
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the destination preferred
