Description:
Here’s your chance to join our team and work in the gorgeous Rocky Mountain region of British Columbia. You have experience as an IT professional looking after the day-to-day operations of a small IT department, preferably at a resort. You are driven to succeed. You are motivated to work above and beyond the call of duty. You will maintain and service the resort's computer, telecom, software and network systems including preventive maintenance, inventory and resort user support (Help Desk). You will participate in developing strategies that include success in areas of cost management, support service levels and user training. You will assist with the introduction of new products and systems.
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoot and repair end user computer systems based on Microsoft Windows 2k and XP Pro. This includes hardware support, new system setup and new user setup or user changes to existing computer systems.
Troubleshoot and repair network connectivity and infrastructure issues in a Cisco based environment.
Manage file storage, backup and network security on resort file servers.
Perform maintenance, health check on database systems for all resort applications (SQL, Visual FoxPro...)
Perform daily Sys Admin tasks within Active Directory (user maintenance, exchange mailbox additions, new computer setup)
Help manage resort servers within an Active Directory environment based on Windows 2000, 2003. Some Cisco & Linux exposure required.
Work to develop, implement, and support a best-in-class IT support (Help desk) process.
Manage, troubleshoot, and support resort point of sale & back office systems.
Work with, develop, and manage telecommunications equipment (Telephone setup, telephone changes, troubleshooting) in a Nortel based environment.
Work on development of IT improvement projects and act as primary on projects where required. Occasional after hours support.
Manage the project planning, and implementation of new systems and software.
Communicate via written and verbal methods to all departments of the company.
Take ownership of all IT problems no matter the size, or scope.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Experience/Requirements:
High School Diploma.
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Other College or University with IT courses desirable.
A+, Network+, CCNA, and MCSE\MCSA certifications a plus.
Project management an asset.
Job Experience:
Two years of IT experience (including Help Desk support experience).
Experience designing, building and supporting Windows 2003 Server, Exchange Server 2003, Linux or Unix operating systems.
Experience supporting Windows 2000, XP, and Vista.
Experience with VoIP telephone technology and Nortel telephone equipment a plus.
Experience with call center technical support a plus.
Experience with supporting point of sale systems a plus.
2 years experience with RTP, Club profit, SMS, SQL
Experience with budgeting and business planning an asset.
Salary
$22-$24 p/h
