The Human Resources Coordinator is a highly visible role in the hotel assisting the Human Resources department. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Duties include:

  • Assist in greeting all visitors, employees and applicants
  • Assist in responding to incoming calls, walk-in inquiries, special projects, and coordination of employee relation events.
  • Coordinating the administration (Enrollments, Audits, and Termination) of union and salaried benefit plans
  • Conduct Benefits orientation for newly eligible employees
  • Administration of HRIS System
  • Maintain and update associate records
  • Plan and execute associates communication materials and events
  • Support and assist with the welcoming of new hires, maintaining files and providing support for the employment process
  • Assist with department and hotel specific projects
  • Assist Human Resource Managers with recruitment

Job Requirements  
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Degree in Human Resources or relevant experience
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer office systems; Microsoft Office is required
  • Previous experience with HRIS would be an asset
  • Passion to assist and the ability to solve problems
  • Detailed oriented, highly organized, energetic and proven ability to multi-task
  • Dynamic and energetic team player and self-starter
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
