The Canadian Museums Association (CMA), in partnership with the Department of Canadian Heritage, is pleased to announce the launch of both the Young Canada Works (YCW) summer student and graduate internship programs for 2011-2012. "Museums can supply valuable skills training for youth in a variety of fields, from intellectual skills to technological, exhibition management, marketing, fundraising and educational programming," says John McAvity, CMA's executive director. "It is therefore important to invest in youth employment for the future of the cultural sector."
CMA will accept applications for the YCW summer student and internship programs until February 1st, 2011. (Please note that a substantial portion of the summer program funding is reserved exclusively for small and medium-sized museums.)
