Expedited Labour Market Opinion (E-LMO) Pilot Project Ends Effective April 15, 2010

Share |

Effective April 15, 2010, the Expedited Labour Market Opinion (E-LMO) pilot project has come to an end. The E-LMO application process is no longer available as an option for employers seeking to hire temporary foreign workers (TFWs). Employers who wish to hire TFWs are now required to apply through the regular LMO process.

Since its commencement in 2007 in British Columbia and Alberta, the E-LMO pilot project has successfully achieved a number of objectives, including the elimination of labour market opinion (LMO) application backlogs.

For more information on how to apply under the regular LMO process, please visit the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada website.
