Whistler, BC, October 4, 2010 – Ziptrek Ecotours is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Hannay as Director of Global Operations. Kyle will act as General Manager of Ziptrek Ecotours in Whistler and Global Leader overseeing strategic direction and operations for its second location in Queenstown, New Zealand and all other future locations.
A long-time Whistler resident, Kyle is a 15-year veteran of the resort industry working at both Whistler Blackcomb and Intrawest. Bringing with him a wide breath and depth of knowledge and experience, Kyle held numerous positions within Intrawest including General Manager of Retail and Rental and Director of Rental Operations. Prior to joining Zip Trek, Kyle was the General Manager of Sales for Whistler Blackcomb, leading its global sales team including group sales and reservations centre. Testament to his operational and leadership skills, during Kyle’s tenure he was appointed to the Intrawest-wide Operational Excellence Team where he spent four years leading process improvement projects across North America and all lines of business including finance, sales and marketing, lodging, food and beverage and rentals.
