The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC), in partnership with the regional Tourism Human Resource Organizations across Canada, regularly conducts research to review, update and validate National Occupational Standards, Professional Certification and learning resources.

Input from BC’s tourism professionals plays a crucial role in ensuring that the standards and certification reflect the desires and needs on a national level as well as provincially.

In fact, many participants have said that by getting involved, they learned a great deal while giving back to their chosen field.

Upcoming projects include reviews and updates of certification and learning materials for Food and Beverage occupations, Front Desk Agent and Heritage Interpreter.
