In British Columbia, Professional Certification is available for 26 of the 48 tourism professions with National Occupational Standards. Certification obtained in BC is recognized throughout Canada. To obtain certification, candidates must pass an occupational knowledge exam, acquire the required workplace experience and be evaluated on the job by an industry-trained evaluator.
