Every place has something that makes them unique. For Greater Langley we could claim agriculture – Langley has more farms than any other municipality in British Columbia – 1,292 to be exact. We could claim some very specialized and world leading organizations that are based here, Or we could claim some unique events. The Aldergrove Fair is a bit of all three. It is a 105 year old Agricultural Fair- the last of it’s kind in Langley. It hosts world class events – for example the World Fast Draw Championships. It is continually growing and evolving with a number of absolutely unique activities, one of which – the Farmhand Challenge – attracted US TV coverage. It is also an amazing party with some iconic music to ensure everyone has a great day in the Park. The Fair was recently recognized by Tourism Langley as Langley’s Event of the Year. It is a non-profit organization that is driven by an enthusiastic group of imaginative volunteers. It is also driven by a collective vision of a unique event fostering community pride and business growth throughout Greater Langley.
