Baldface Lodge, a year-round adventure lodge, is tucked just below the alpine of the Selkirk Mountain range in southeastern British Columbia, Canada. Baldface guests travel from the historic town of Nelson by amphibious vehicle up to the cozy timber frame lodge nestled at 6750 ft. The main lodge houses six double occupancy guest rooms with shared bathrooms, and includes a dining area, bar, woodstove, pool table, retail shop, spa, and plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Take a short walk from the lodge to one of six spacious, charming chalets, each comfortably housing four guests and providing a spectacular view from the wraparound deck. During the winter months, an average day provides guests with a dose of 12,000 â 18,000 vertical feet of famous BC powder. With 36,000 acres (56 square miles) of terrain, average winter temperature between 23 â 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and an average annual snowpack of 500 inches, the skiing and snowboarding at Baldface is unforgettable and diverse. Guests will enjoy open bowls, gladed trees, and steep chutes in our adventurous terrain. After an adrenaline-packed day on the slopes, guests enjoy a hot bowl of soup and appetizers at the bar, a wood-fired cedar sauna, and a rejuvenating massage from a professional therapist. Then itâs a lot of laughs as slideshows of the dayâs powder are presented nightly on our big screen. Fine wine and a gourmet feast wrap up the day and itâs off to sleep under a cozy goose-down duvet to get ready to do it all over again. During the summer months, Baldface offers all-inclusive freeride mountain bike weekends, unique retreats, and a spectacular venue for weddings and corporate retreats.
