Chances Casino Kelowna

About Us

Many people ask about how Chances began and are surprised to hear Chances is actually a local Kelowna story starting back in 1985 with the opening of Kelowna Bingo Palace. In 1992, Stan Walt, one of the founding partners of Bingo Palace, became sole owner of this very busy bingo hall. Along with numerous non-profit organizations that benefitted from the hall, Stan saw the need to take bingo into the 21st century and in 2002, the new Bingo Kelowna opened next to Rona on Springfield Rd. This state of the art building remains the most elaborate and one of the largest bingo facilities in British Columbia.

It was not long before the rest of the province caught on to the idea of creating these modernized gaming centres. The British Columbia Lottery Corporation saw the potential in these centres and in 2004 decided to allow slot gaming in bingo facilities. In 2005, Chances Gaming came to be with the addition of a Slot Machine Casino along with Teletheatre Horse Racing. Chances has continued to expand with the opening of Longshots Lounge in 2007 – a full service restaurant and lounge catering to horse race and sport enthusiasts, and in 2009, the expansion of the casino floor with 150 slots and an upgraded electronic bingo area.

BCLC has supported the growth of the Chances concept and there are now multiple Chances in BC with Chances Kelowna being the largest at 42,000 sq. ft.

The future of Chances will be to see more advanced technology coming from manufacturers of bingo and gaming equipment to continue to be a part of the community that has made Chances what it is today and never lose sight of that. To work hard to be known as an employer of choice for the city and to remain the entertainment location of choice for anyone looking for a casual and enjoyable time out with friends or on their own. Don't take our word for it… Come check us out for yourself!
