Tourism Campbell River and Region is the designated Destination Management Organization for the North Central Vancouver Island Region, including the communities of Cambell River, Gold River, Tahsis, Zeballos, Kyuquot, Sayward, Quadra and The Discovery Islands and Oyster Bay /Strathcona. The mandate includes not only marketing and promotion of the tourism operations, communities and attributes but also infrastructure and product developement, leading to the further developement of a robust and sustainable Tourism Industry. Since inception the region has seen substantial growth in visitation numbers and the successful launch of several infrastructure initatives, such as the classification of the Campbell River Airport as an international facility with US direct flights durung the Spring, Summer and early Fall. One of the major projects currently underway is the developement of a Cruise Ship Docking Terminal and the marketing of the vast array of shore excursions available throughout the area. This is truely a region which offers and experiance that is “As Wild as You Like!”
