Tumbler Ridge Global Geopark

About Us

The Tumbler Ridge Global Geopark (TRGG) officially joined the Global Geopark Network in September 2014. The TRGG located is in Northeastern BC and the boundaries encompass the community of Tumbler Ridge.  It is the first Global Geopark in western North America, and the first to represent the plate tectonics that led to the formation of the Rocky Mountains. The Dinosaur Discovery Gallery is a major attraction, while a network of hiking trails leads to numerous geosites, including spectacular waterfalls, dinosaur tracks, mountain summits, sedimentary rock formations, caves and canyons.
