Seia Roots, Community Educator, MHFA Master Trainer, Canadian Mental Health Association
Seia is a community educator specializing in mental health. Since 2004 she has been part of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser (CMHA-VF) branch’s Community Outreach and Education Team.
Working in the community, Seia brings the topic of mental health to a range of groups including librarians, parole officers, and firefighters. Seia trains new instructors across the country in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), a program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada. She also facilitates workshops for people in recovery from mental illness.
When Seia is not educating and improving systems for mental health she is building her own emotional resilience - spending time in nature, teaching Laughter Yoga, and working on creative projects.
Lorne Scarlett, Industry Specialist (Tourism & Hospitality), WorkSafeBC
Lorne has been with WorkSafeBC (WSBC) for 19 years spending the last 13 working with the tourism and hospitality industries and small business. He is a Certified Health & Safety Consultant and has been the main WSBC industry liaison for go2HR since 2009. Prior to joining WorkSafeBC, he was a small business owner working in the broadcast and music industries.
Lorne lives on his Fraser Valley farm with his wife, 4 horses, and 2 dogs.
Kori Gryschuk, Manager, Industry Health and Safety, go2HR
For more than ten years, Kori has been a health and safety professional at various sized companies across multiple industries, including manufacturing, environmental, and engineering. Kori holds an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate from BCIT, and a Provincial Instructor Diploma from Vancouver Community College. She is a Certified Health and Safety Consultant, and a Canadian Registered Safety Professional. In 2015, Kori joined the go2HR team to manage the Industry Health and Safety program.
