You’ve heard it before: change comes from within. Before you invite LGBT+ travellers to your destination in droves, make sure your workplace is an inclusive environment for LGBT+ employees and customers. Remember that people aren’t always “out” or visible, and that you may not have representation on your staff or in your client base for a reason.

Join a Navigating LGBT+ Diversity and Inclusion in the Tourism Industry workshop facilitated by CGLCC and funded by the Government of Canada in your region to learn the basics of an LGBT+-inclusive vocabulary, space, and workplace.

Included in the workshop is a self-paced online course to first get you up to speed on the many different LGBT+ communities. Once you attend the workshop, you’ll leave with a certificate acknowledging your participation and action items to transform your workplace into an LGBT+ safe space.
