Mobilité Francophone stream exempts employers from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process when they hire francophone workers from abroad in managerial, professional and technical/skilled trades occupation. The primary language of work in Canada can be English, but the advantage is that bilingual workers recruited through this program are able to provide service in both of Canada’s official languages.
Destination Canada 2018 is your opportunity to meet qualified bilingual and French speaking candidates in a wide range of fields who are interested in moving to Canada. You can take advantage of this yearly mobility forum organized by the Government of Canada to find the talent you need. Please note that it is possible to post jobs even if you are unable to attend in person.
Representatives from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) offices in Paris and Rabat will be travelling to BC to meet with Canadian employers and professional associations in Vancouver, Victoria and the Okanagan from Sept. 24-26, 2018. They will be accompanied by IRCC’s Employer Liaison Officer for BC and staff from the BC PNP. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the candidate pools abroad and the international recruitment tools that can help you connect with the skilled workers you need.
During this session, you will learn about the LMIA-exempt work permits under the Mobilité francophone stream, and the upcoming Destination Canada Mobility Forum in Paris and Brussels. Seating is limited, so please RSVP to Heather Michaud by Sept. 20 with the names and contact details of the persons attending. This session will be held in English. The question period will be bilingual, English and French.
RSVP by Sept. 20 if you plan to attend:
