Time:

British Columbia’s tourism industry is booming and number of visitors is constantly growing. As a result, we need new, innovative ideas to increase the competitiveness of the province as a visitor destination.

go2HR’s Winning Pitch, a case competition where post-secondary students pitch business plans to promote a local tourism activity, is an opportunity for the next bright young stars of the industry to apply their strategic thinking to come up with a new tourism business or service idea based on a local, realistic scenario related to the support of the destination development in each host region.

Do you have a winning pitch? This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring tourism professionals to develop their strategic thinking and presentation skills based on realistic business scenarios and demonstrate their skills to industry. The winning pitch from the Vancouver, Coast and Mountains region will move on to compete against other regional winners at the 2018 Tourism Industry Conference in Kelowna.

Employers, come watch these brilliant pitches! Gain inspiration to take your business to the next level and stay competitive in the market. Meet the passionate and insightful students behind them – and perhaps even connect with some to adopt these ideas to your business! As part of the live audience, your vote for your favourite business pitch will contribute to the overall score and help us pick the winner. The Winning Pitch is free to attend, and RSVP is not required.
