Job Description
Prestige Hotels and Resorts Corporate Office, located in Kelowna, is looking for a part-time or full-time Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a contracted maternity leave position for up to 18 months. It is a perfect opportunity for a candidate who has been employed in a similar position and is looking to build on their experience.

Reporting directly to the Controller, the right candidate requires strong organizational and technical skills to manage the day-to-day accounting activities.
Duties and responsibilities:
– Ensuring the appropriate approval of invoices and accurate coding, entry and payment of vendor invoices, and employee expenses
– Preparation of cheques and EFTs for approval
– General administrative duties, including filing of invoices and payments
– Reconciliation of credit card statements and other clearing accounts
– Data entry into Simply Accounting/Sage
– Intercompany rebilling and allocation of expenditures
– Responding to queries from internal staff members and management in a timely and professional manner
– Supporting the accounting team and various internal clients as directed
– Other duties as assigned by the Controller

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Qualifications:
– Experience in full-cycle accounts payable
– Experience with accounting software preferred
– Experience with payroll software preferred
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
– Outstanding attention to detail and meeting deadlines
– Excellent teamwork and team building skills
– Effective communication skills, both verbally and written
– Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
– Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
