Sea to Sky Parks is currently hiring for full time, seasonal park operators to join our team working at Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park. Positions will commence mid-May and run through early September 2024.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Park Manager, the Provincial Park Operators are responsible for providing a safe, clean, and organized park environment for our guests. Including but not limited to, the cleaning of campsites, out houses, emptying garbage, small landscaping & maintenance jobs, hiking Lindeman Lake for trail maintenance and collecting camping fees.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

THIS POSITION IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
You want to work outdoors for the summer.
You have great public relations and guest service skills.
You work well in a team and independently.
You are looking to pursue a more long-term career in Recreation, Conservation, Parks, or similar Environmental fields.
You have a passion for outdoor recreation.
You are self motivated and proactive.
You are looking to grow your skillset and work your way up to more senior positions.
You can sustain physical activity for the entirety of your 8hr shift.
You are looking for an awesome summer job that you can brag about to your friends.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:
A positive and friendly attitude in all weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Minimum N driver license and clean abstract.
Able to follow direction and work unsupervised.
Ability to hike Lindeman Lake intermediate trail (1.5 hours round trip) once/week-https://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/lindeman-lake/
Openness to a flexible work environment, including weekend, evening or alternative work hours as needed.
Your own transportation to get to and from the park for work.
The ability to be open and honest – give us your ideas!

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Seasonal employment.
Hourly wage-$19-$21.50
Uniform provided.
$75 biweekly mileage incentive
