Position Summary:
As a Group Tour Planner, you are responsible for developing customized cultural, educational and specialized tour programs for groups within Canada, to the USA and internationally. Create private group tour experiences that last a lifetime through passion, collaboration and independent effort. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Skills Required:

• Team-focused with ability to adapt and support change, solve problems creatively, and adjust approach as necessary
• Exceptional organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build client confidence and ensure commitments to clients are met, demonstrating excellence in customer service
• Effective negotiation skills, with ability to compromise, seek common ground and reach a mutually beneficial solution
• High level of integrity, sense of accountability, and professionalism
• Proficiency in MS office and ability to adapt quickly to changing technology

Qualifications:

• College diploma or related experience well suited to a travel agent or meeting/event planner
• Passion for travel or travel-related experience is an asset
• Flexibility to work hours including evenings and weekends as needed during peak tour season
• A background check is required due to the nature of our business working with Minors
• Accounting experience and technological skills are an asset
