Job Description

Working in a collaborative and creative environment, the head chef will be responsible for the food program for Wheelhouse Brewing Company in a newly renovated historic waterfront building.
The menu will focus around the centerpiece of the kitchen, a wood fired pizza oven, while also including a fewer other regionally inspired dishes.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Red Seal Chef or equivalent experience ideal.

Duties and responsibilities:

working within a collaborative team, develop and implement the menu with seasonal changes and a focus on local northwest coast products
maintain food safe environment and ensure food safe practices in the kitchen and within the kitchen team
assist in hiring/training/mentoring staff
maintain inventory and organization of product
develop monitoring systems to track costs of food and labour, reporting monthly to owners
monitor and maintain kitchen equipment
responsible for food quality
assist in preparation of menu items on a daily basis
promote a positive, inclusive kitchen culture

Salary/Wage

55,000-60,000
