Located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, the Hotel Grand Pacific is proudly affiliated with Preferred Hotels and Resorts. We currently have a permanent, full-time position available for a House Person. As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will play an important role in helping us create a clean and comfortable environment for our guests. Shifts are 8 hours in length and will vary between mornings and evenings. Coverage of an overnight shift may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties:

· Ensure the cleanliness of public areas of the Hotel, including washrooms, hallways, the lobby, food outlets, and Athletic Club

· Maintain housekeeping supplies and respond to requests for item deliveries

· Communicate guest concerns to ensure the highest level of service is provided

· Report any maintenance concerns to ensure safety standards are met

· Complete special deep cleaning projects when required

· Follow established health and safety protocols at all times

What We’re Looking For:

· Previous cleaning or janitorial experience

· Available to work varied shift times, including mornings, evenings and weekends

· An adaptable and efficient self-starter

· Clear and effective verbal communication skills for radio use

· Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail

· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, with a high level of initiative

· Professional and accountable with a high level of integrity

· WHMIS certification an asset
