Job Description

RLC Landscaping is seeking labourers for new development landscaping and property or park maintenance positions. You will work as part of a team responding to various projects or service calls. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will develop your skills to work safely and efficiently. RLC provides opportunities to grow and move into a variety of positions as your skills and experience increase. Positions are full time, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and work locations are near Victoria on southern Vancouver Island. Work schedule may change during winter months to accommodate winter duties of salting and snow removal.
We have work for entry level and more experienced labourers with opportunity for growth and advancement.
Wages range from $22 – $32 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

– Working as part of a team, mowing, trimming and planting lawns and gardens.
– Daily on-site work to develop new construction properties by grading, installation of soil, aggregate and sod.
– Operate and perform routine work with skid-steers, packers, and other motorized equipment.
– Early morning salting and snow removal during peak winter conditions.
– Load and unload equipment, materials and tools into work vehicles.
– Drive work vehicles to and from sites.
– Adhere to all safety precautions.
– Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from the crew leader.
– Service oriented and self-motivated.
– Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions for extended periods of time.
– Communicate effectively and with respect.
– Reliable team member working well independently and as part of a team.
– Must have a valid Class 5 Driver License and clean driving record
– Must be over 18 years old.
