Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and repair of the hotel’s interior and exterior facilities while maintaining employee and guest safety, smooth and efficient operations, good appearance, compliance with legislation, suitable working conditions and cost control. The responsibility will include maintaining electrical equipment and assisting with general repairs and preventative maintenance of the hotel including plumbing, heating, air conditioning, painting, carpentry and general repairs.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Establish goals, measurements and results for the department along with the Rooms Division Manager
Involvement in the preparation of the Maintenance Operating and Capital budgets;
Prepare the necessary reports and ensure that the budget is being followed;
Organize, implement and track all maintenance projects for guestrooms and public areas;
Oversee general operational and preventative maintenance of systems including boilers and heating systems, HVAC systems, pool facilities and general plumbing issues;
Maintain hotel guest rooms and public areas by performing routine maintenance jobs and repairs;
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling and ventilation systems;
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems, electrical systems and appliances;
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on kitchen equipment;
Maintain the integrity of pool by ensuring a safe chemical balance through frequent testing;
Responsible for the Fire Panel and available for call outs;
Ensure effective and timely interaction with all Hotel departments and positively impact guest experience by effectively and efficiently resolving maintenance concerns;

Previous experience as a maintenance manager in a hotel or commercial building is a requirement.
Ability to do plumbing, carpentry, general maintenance duties.
