Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have a fantastic vacation experience by utilizing your maintenance skills and customer service expertise. You will be tasked with ensuring that each unit and building is in perfectly working order.
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performing all general facility maintenance tasks with/without supervision.
• Performing service requests and repairs as directed, such as painting, appliance repair, minor electrical work, and carpentry.
• Maintenance work for make-ready units as directed.
• Cleaning and maintaining outside landscape areas, including emptying trash, picking up trash, and performing general landscape work.
• Cleaning and inspecting building systems and report deficiencies to supervisors while adhering to the company’s safety programs.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment.
• Assist guests regarding hotel equipment e.g. TV’s as needed.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in areas such as painting, plumbing, tiling and carpentry, across a large commercial building or similar is preferred.
• Have basic knowledge of repair and replacement of general fixtures, such as doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, roofs, furniture, and cabinetry.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible and reliable, able to work safely with minimum supervision and be able to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent guest service skills with an eye for detail and mechanical aptitude needed.
• Team oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good command of the English language required.
• 5th Class Power Engineering is an asset. (Undergraduates are welcome!!)

Salary/Wage

24-27.50
