The Canadian Wildlife Museum located just North of the City of Vernon is an outstanding tourist attraction. Hosting mounted Canadian wildlife in awesome dioramas, we have one of the most outstanding selections of Canadian birds and animals. This is truly a place where nature comes alive.
If you are a wildlife enthusiast or just curious about these majestic creatures and eager to learn more, you may be the right person for our team. We are currently looking for a Museum Attendant to join us for the fall season. This person will be responsible for admissions and gift shop sales, interacting with every guest as they come through the museum / gift shop, and other general tasks such as cleaning, keeping things neat and organized, as well as the willingness to perform other tasks and duties that are applicable. The chosen candidate will have strong attention to detail and be confident on computers. The ideal candidate will have previous retail / cash till experience and will be an excellent communicator with strong oral communication skills and customer service orientation. Retail till and cash handling experience is a strong plus, but training will be given. Some knowledge and interest in wildlife is also a plus. This job is seasonal and will start at four days a week, including weekends, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm day shifts, (6 hours per day=24 hours a week) Friday to Monday, (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays off) – starting September 6th.. – (If you attend a church, Sunday hours could be reduced to 1:00 pm to 4:pm if desired) The amount of days may possibly be reduced when winter approaches and tourism gets slower, to only Saturdays and Sundays?
$18.00 per hour.
