Job Description
Discover Canada Tours is seeking responsible and professional Part-Time Class 4 Drivers to join our tour operations team. As a driver, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and enjoyable transportation of our guests to and from various destinations. Your main duties will include driving tour vehicles, adhering to schedules, and delivering excellent customer service to enhance the overall experience of our guests.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities include:
Safely operate Class 4 vehicles (minibuses or vans) to transport passengers on scheduled tours and activities.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting passengers, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort during the trip.
Follow designated routes and tour schedules, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at various locations.
Assist with loading and unloading luggage or equipment as required.
Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the Operations team.
Adhere to all local traffic laws and company policies, ensuring passenger safety at all times.
Act as a representative of the company, providing guests with relevant information about tour sites and responding to inquiries about the area.
Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate trip logs as required.
Assist with additional tour-related duties, including coordinating with the Operations team and Tour Guides when necessary.
Report any infractions/ accidents/ tickets or defect on vehicles to the Ops Manager ASAP
Keep track your assigned schedule and possible changes
Keep track of your expenses and summits receipts at the end of each trip
Qualifications & Skills
Valid BC Class 4 or 2 Driver’s License (Unrestricted).
Clean driving record (Driver’s abstract required).
Previous experience in transportation or tour driving is an asset.
Strong knowledge of local roads and popular tourist destinations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and maintain punctuality on tour schedules.
Ability to handle luggage and light lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is an asset.
First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
