ROAR – REBELLIOUS RESTAURANT MANAGER
Hotel Zed Tofino is completely unlike any other resort. It has the swankiest 1970’s retro-chic vibe and here we are all Rebels Against the Ordinary. We also have ridiculously fun amenities like the world’s first bike-through lobby, secret arcade, psychic’s den, mini disco, tetherball and so much more.
Key to our unordinary vibe is ROAR, our live-fire restaurant and bar that exudes the roar of crashing waves, the roar of the flames and the roar of our rebellious nature. We are seeking a kind and loving rebel to lead our team as ROAR’s new Restaurant Manager.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
THE ROLE OF OUR REBEL LEADER
Leadership Development: Be the Ambassador of ROAR. Inspire and actively foster a connection with our unique culture. Lead with enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine positive demeanor to motivate and guide your team.
Culture Architect: Build a culture that values accountability, ideas, and contributions, fostering employee engagement and sustainable success. Consistently recognize and reward the achievements and contributions of your Fam-Jam.
Training & Development: Provide ongoing training, coaching that is inclusive for all leaders, ensuring they have clear paths to success by promoting a culture of development from within.
Strategic Planning: Develop business plans, promote ROAR in the Tofino community, participate in marketing, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales & Operations departments.
Wow Guests: Foster an environment where guests can be consistently wowed by their unordinary experience with us. Let our Fam-Jam shine and enable moments of magic that guests will talk about.
Floor Presence: Actively participate on the floor during service periods to role model service standards while nurturing guest relationships through table touches and unforgettable guest interactions.
Sales & Cost Management: Forecast sales, manage labor and inventory costs, and understand how to impact and manage expenses. Provide context on monthly expenses to the Resort Manager. (His name is Matt, and he is really great.)
REQUISITES OF A REBEL RESTAURANT MANAGER
Three years in a restaurant (food and beverage) leadership role
Able to take initiative, action proactively and address issues or opportunities without supervision
Focuses on desired results with clear purpose, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude
Works cooperatively with others to accomplish business goals and objectives
Asks others for their ideas and opinions, supports the team’s decisions, contributes to the team’s efforts
Passion for excellence and exceeding expectations
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize the right work
