About our company:
The Company requires a Sales Manager, located in the Vancouver Office to represent our Hotels/Resort in BC Canada. We are looking for an energetic professional to join our dynamic and diverse Team of Professionals.

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and working directly out of our Vancouver, BC sales office to solicit, confirm and maintain group room, food and beverage business while ensuring revenues are maximized.
• Solicit corporations, associations and other like entities for new group business opportunities in assigned markets.
• Maintain and manage current group accounts to ensure return business.
• Professionally and knowledgeably present Hotel properties and the immediate region to clients through direct sales calls, tradeshows, professional memberships and client referrals by phone, outside calls or email.
• Respond to client requests for proposals and other pertinent information within the same day (minimum) or within 24 hours (maximum).
• Negotiate group bookings while ensuring revenues are maximized
• Confirm group business by contract and ensure that all essential details are addressed in the documentation.
• Maintain and consistently update Delphi accounts, bookings and client contact information.
• Ensure traces are followed up in a timely fashion.
• Keep abreast of competitive activities and market conditions for feedback to Sales and Marketing Managers.
• Applies group policies and procedures in activities and correspondence as required.
• Assemble all collateral /sales kits for direct mail to clients, tradeshows.
• Attend sales meetings and site inspections as required.
• Other job related duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• 3 years group sales experience in a Canadian hotel/resort environment
• Proven ability to build relationships and find new business: prospecting, networking, site inspections and sales calls
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills
• Professional and effective communication and presentation skills
• Computer literacy, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc…)
• Experience with Delphi is preferable
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to provide comprehensive site tours of the assigned properties without physical impediment (extensive walking, standing, sitting, seeing and hearing)
• Ability to speak a secondary language (Mandarin preferably) is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (some weekends / evening) in a fast paced environment
