Job Description

Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for all our guests.
Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment
Complete all assigned Preventative Maintenance duties and Daily request in a timely and efficient manner
Take daily readings of all mechanical equipment’s, chillers, water and steam entry room, etc.
Carry out daily pool and spa maintenance
Able to do drywall repairs, painting, touch ups and wallcovering repairs
Plumbing skills including drain cleaning and repairs and installation of new fixtures
Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
Promptly respond and follow up to guest and team member requests to resolve problems and prevent future issues
Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
Work closely with the Chief Engineer and team to assist with the successful completion of projects and work orders
Understands and follow all job SOP, Lockout/Tag-out, MSDS procedures and general safety guidelines
Excellent communicator and problem solver
Follow all policies, procedures, and standards set by the Hotel

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Trade qualifications including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing and electrical is an asset
Relevant building maintenance experience
Pool operator’s certificate or experience in pool maintenance and chemistry is a strong asset
Knowledge of energy management and building automation systems (DDC)
Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem- solving abilities
Highly responsible, reliable and punctual
Must be a self-starter and self-motivator with ability to take initiative
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Must be physically fit and well-groomed
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, bending
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, rotating shifts, extended hours, and available for emergencies

Salary/Wage

26.55-29.50
