Our business has been doubling every year (except 2020) and we need help!
Part-Time, On-Call Shuttle Drivers are needed for Winter Ski Shuttles and Transfers to over 50 Heli-Ski, Cat-Ski, Ski Resorts, and airports throughout southern British Columbia.
Drivers are also needed for Wedding Transportation, Airport Shuttles, Golf Transport, Dinner Transport, Group Bus and Van Rentals, plus Concerts, Parties and Self-Guided Wine Transportation. Exceptional Shuttle Drivers often become Wine Tour Guides for the summer.

Enjoy continuous learning, intellectual stimulation, and a sense of purpose. Your years of valuable life experience are highly regarded.
Your key attributes include being very personable, courteous, authentic, caring, safety-conscious, and reliable. Moreover, you are a non-smoker, are well-groomed (tidy, smart, dapper), and have fresh breath.
Successful candidates must have a clean Class 1, 2, or 4-Unrestricted BC Driver’s License.
THE COMPANY
Highly respected in BC’s Tourism, Ground Transportation, and Wedding Industries, Cheers! Okanagan Tours and Transportation was founded in 2016 and quickly vaulted from 124th place to first place on TripAdvisor® for exemplary transportation and tour experiences. Fanatic discipline, empirical creativity, and productive paranoia fuel our desire to build an uncommon company culture that focuses on the care and success of our 1) employee-partners, 2) customers, 3) vendors, and 4) neighbors. Helping people thrive differentiates our business.
MOST DAYS
Ranked Top 10% Worldwide on TripAdvisor® (and #1 locally!), most days we simply wow our guests with uncommon customer service getting them safely to where they need to be, or safely home to the ones they love. This includes; irreproachable communication; safe, clean, reliable vehicles; and fun, safety-conscious, knowledgeable service aficionados who go above and beyond for our customers, vendors, neighbors, and their fellow employee-partners. Helping people thrive differentiates our business.
A LEGITIMATE OPERATOR
Properly insured and legislatively compliant, Cheers! Okanagan Tours and Transportation is a legitimate operator. We are BC Passenger Transportation Licenced (PT 72224), National Safety Code, and Transport Canada Certified (202445168). Moreover, we take our guests and employee-partners safety and traveling comfort very seriously. Please read about our fleet and safety program here.
A CULTURE OF DISCIPLINED EXCELLENCE
Any exceptional enterprise depends first and foremost upon having self-managed and self-motivated people – the #1 ingredient for a culture of disciplined excellence. We believe that when you have disciplined people, you don’t need hierarchy. When you have disciplined thought, you don’t need bureaucracy. To be blunt, there’s no need for micromanaging when everyone has their act together. The right people here are productively neurotic, self-motivated, self-disciplined, and compulsively driven to do the best they can because it’s simply part of their DNA.
Perhaps a little brusque or insensitive in his delivery, but the sentiment couldn’t possibly be more true than expressed by U.S. Army Delta Force Founder Colonel Charlie A. Beckwith, “I’d rather go down the river with seven studs than with a hundred sh*theads.”
This is not the place for pitiful, timid, ineffectual, fainthearted, half-hearted, wishy-washy, time-wasting, lazy, cowards, or narcissists with an unwarranted sense of entitlement who are easily offended and unable to deal with opposing opinions. It’s okay if those are a person’s character traits – they’ll just want to avoid this place.
As one of our long-time tour guides and drivers Peter says, “This is no place for a confidence problem!”
OUR CORE VALUES
Our core values include YOU CARE and YOU GO THE EXTRA MILE. These are traits, not aspirations. We’ve come to understand the absolute necessity to exclusively hire people who already have a predisposition to our core values. We are not interested in persuading or mentoring people to share our core values. You do or you don’t.
HOW TO APPLY
1) SEND AN INTRODUCTORY LETTER OR A “PERSONAL VALUE PROPOSITION”
If you’re an able-bodied, high-caliber, hard-working, intelligent person who possesses most of what this position requires, please send us a brief letter or “elevator pitch”. A quick, short, memorable introduction to you, your character traits and innate capabilities that would prove advantageous to our customers and company. The goal is to earn a second conversation, not to convince us we should hire you. If you can do that in 30 seconds, bravo!
You don’t need to but if you want to go “PRO”, check out this article “Personal Value Proposition Example (With Template)” If unable to go direct, search the title in your browser.
Although conveying your pride, self-respect, self-esteem, honor, privilege, and dignity is somewhat of an art, nevertheless, we need a fascinating reason to consider interviewing or hiring you. Now is the time to break out the accolades, testimonials, references, plaques and trophies. What acts of selflessness are you most proud of? What have other people said about you? “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.” Ancient Hebrew Proverb.
2) SEND A COMMERCIAL DRIVING RECORD AND INSURANCE HISTORY
For your Class 1, 2, or 4 Unrestricted BC Driver’s Licence Go to: https://onlinebusiness.icbc.com/clio/
Follow the prompts on each page.
On the “Request document(s)” page, under section, “Select the document(s) you need”
Check: “Commercial driving record (National Safety Code abstract)”
We look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers!
