Job Description

L’Abattoir Restaurant has an opening for the position of Sous Chef.
This role is a member of our kitchen leadership team, responsible
for the execution of meal periods, team member training and development, and the general success of kitchen operations including but not limited to:
– ordering/receiving
– recipe development and implementation
– team member conflict resolution
– inventory management
– equipment maintenance
– upholding cleaning schedules/standards

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications/attributes:

– valid foodsafe certificate
– 5 years kitchen experience in a fine dining environment
– previous experience in a sous chef/leadership role
– in depth knowledge of classical and contemporary culinary techniques
– have a positive, upbeat attitude/personality
– be willing and able to work as part of a team
– be willing and able to accept constructive criticism
– be a reliable, hard working team member that leads by example

Salary/Wage

60-70K per year all-in
