Job Description: 

Food and Beverage Assistant Manager

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage and the Restaurant Manager, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and direction of the daily operations of food and beverage service with an emphasis on catering events as well as blue dining & lounge as required.

Daily Operations include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the management and coordination of all aspects of the event bookings including: arrival, departure, room setup, room flips, last minute additions, audio visual requirements and meal functions.
  • Assisting with the management and coordination of all aspects of the blue operations including: greeting, seating, food running, steps of service, table settings, product knowledge, reservations, meal plans/vouchers, POS updating & operation, alcohol service and policy.
  • Assisting with schedule management- shift changes & call-ins
  • Assisting with Beverage Controls, inventories, ordering and receiving.
  • Supervising Events and Restaurant floor.
  • Liaise with event organizers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Liaise with kitchen team to ensure operational success and food quality
  • Coaching and training staff to upgrade service experience.
  • Liaise with all hotel department as necessary to ensure total guest satisfaction
  • Setting expectations for catering setups and preparation duties.
  • Daily opening floor checks and closing floor checks.
  • Assist with employee reviews and employee development
  • Recruiting & screening New Hires
  • Any and all other duties as requested

  • Serving It Right Certified
  • Must be flexible with scheduling - available for evenings, weekends, days, holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Neat, well-groomed appearance
  • Performing General Physical Activities — performing physical activities that may require considerable use of arms, legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting wine and beer cases, walking, stooping, bending, pulling/pushing and handling of materials. Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Flexibility with scheduling to meet business and operational needs
  • Minimum 2 years in a food & Beverage supervisory role
