Location: Burnaby, BC
Status: Permanent Part-time and Seasonal Full-time
Remuneration: Hourly Wage (based on experience), Overtime + Vacation Pay

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our Lower Mainland operations as an Audio Visual Technician. As an AV Technician, you will perform tasks necessary to ensure successful preparation and completion of all shows for all of our stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed properly and efficiently in order to deliver great service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and supervision of scheduled events requiring AV equipment (Audio, Lighting, Visuals, etc.)
  • Set-up, operation and dismantle of events
  • Provide advice on equipment purchases
  • Assist in training and development of junior technical staff
  • Provide general warehouse support
  • Maintain and establish rapport with the organization’s clients
  • Executing AV events
  • Develop procedures to improve efficiencies
  • Operation of moving lights and performance of basic rigging
  • Operation of sound technology and equipment
  • Complete required paperwork and data entry

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 
  • Some experience with live and corporate event sound, festival and corporate lighting events (setup and programming)
  • AV technical education is considered an asset
  • Sales experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent customer service
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Ability to multi task and manage time effectively
  • Must have strong communication, critical and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to think and work under pressure
  • Professional attitude and work ethic
  • Valid BC Drivers Licence (Class 5 or equivalent)
