Cycle City Tours is Vancouver’s premiere bicycle tour company, and our mission is to host the best city tour by bicycle in the world! We do this by offering memorable bike rides for small groups on quality equipment while sharing deep insight into the present, past and future of the city. Our guests are visiting from around the globe, as independent travelers or as part of larger group or corporate tours.

Tour Guide Details:
This position begins with 3-5 weeks of paid training which involves a combination of direct training, self-study, and, most importantly, tour shadowing.
Shifts are typically between 4 – 7 hours.
We are looking to fill positions ranging from 3-5 shifts per week

Competitive base salary with opportunity to make substantial tips. Total compensation for trained guides usually averages between $25 – $40 per hour.
What kind of guides are we looking for? Read through the questions below. If you can answer “yes” to most of these, then we’d love to hear from you!
Do you love Vancouver? Are you always curious about what’s new in food, current events and culture in Vancouver? Do you have any special knowledge in city planning, history, environment, local art, etc.?
Do you call yourself a Vancouverite? Have you lived in Vancouver for at least 3 years?
Do you have exceptional people skills and enjoy conversing with people from all over the world?
Are you a natural storyteller, and do you thrive getting up in front of a group? Theatre or acting experience could be an asset!
Do you have outdoor or urban guiding experience?
Are you good at thinking on your feet and working independently?
Do you have a flexible schedule? Can you work weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays?
Do you speak any languages fluently besides English?
Are you ready to spend your working hours riding bikes around Vancouver with brand new friends from all over the world, showing off what you love most about the city?
Passion for Vancouver, cycling, and storytelling
Fluency in English (French, Spanish, German and other languages are a great asset!)
Emergency first aid certification (can obtain or recertify after hiring)
Responsible and dependable nature
Flexible schedule with availability from April through September (minimum May through end of August)
