Job Description: 

Charcoal & Woodz Bar and Grill at Holiday Inn Cloverdale is looking for experienced cooks to join our kitchen team. 

  • Daily preparation of food, including meats, vegetables, sauces
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, temperature and presentation specifications
  • Proper use and maintenance of all kitchen equipment
  • Ensure quality and safety of all food by following all standards and procedures
  • Cleaning, sanitizing and organizing kitchen, fridges, coolers and storage areas
  • Post service cleaning including garbage disposal, washing dishes and cleaning cooking surfaces

Job Requirements

  • Professional and positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Previous cooking experience required
  • Professional certification is an asset
  • Knowledge of procedures for serving food and principles of safe food handling
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Flexible to a changing schedule
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Food Safety certification is required
  • First aid certification is an asset
