Front Desk Agent (Full Time-Seasonal)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who enjoys hospitality to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you must be welcoming and able to provide exemplary service to our guests. Strive to provide guest services to meet or exceed hotel guest  expectations and operational standards.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will have the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Ensure all guest interaction is friendly, efficient, prompt & courteous manner.
  • Effective handling and resolution of guest issues in a timely manner.
  • Accurate work performance in areas such as, postings and cash transactions.
  • Know and be able to carry out hotel emergency procedures including emergency evacuation, guest or employee injury and reporting safety and security issues.
  • Work closely with other departments of the hotel to ensure smooth operation of the front desk and to enhance the guest service experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

Preferred Experience & Skills required:

  • Team player who understands the importance of each guest experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience working at a busy hotel front desk
  • Passion to provide exceptional guest service
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong data entry and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Capable of proactive problem solving and decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Word and Excel
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Tourism/Hospitality Management Diploma or Post-Secondary Degree preferred
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons & weekends.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and assist with guest luggage when required.
  • Good knowledge of the Vancouver area and attractions is an asset
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics
  • Good sense of humor
  • Excellent work related references
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
