Carmana Plaza, an all-suite extended stay property located in downtown Vancouver is offering an exciting opportunity for a Front Office Agent.

The Front Office Agent is responsible for maximizing guest satisfaction by providing professional and courteous customer service from the moment guests arrive at the property until they check out. Duties include checking-in and checking-out guests, fulfilling guest's requests during their stay, answering telephone inquiries and other duties assigned.

Successful candidates must have at least 2 years customer service background and willingness to go the extra mile to maximize guest satisfaction while adhering to the company policies. The selected candidates must be an excellent communicator and a team player. The individual must have strong organization skills, initiative and be able to work well with minimum supervision. This is the ideal position for someone who has a passion for guest service, values problem resolution, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. Computer knowledge and any hospitality industry related experience would be beneficial.

Job Requirements

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Completion of a college diploma. Graduation from a college with a major in Hotel Management preferred
  • Responds to all guest requests in a timely manner to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
  • Available to work shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and deal with challenging situations, while maintaining excellent guest relations
  • Courteous telephone manners and positive team player attitude
  • Enthusiastic, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task very well in a busy environment
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debit and credit transactions, and various payment methods available to guests is required
  • Proficient with computers
  • A good knowledge of Vancouver and surrounding tourist attractions
  • Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written; Second language an asset
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours and maintain a friendly and professional attitude at all times
