We are currently seeking highly motivated, service-oriented individuals to join the Banqueting Department in the position of Lead Beverage Attendant. The hours vary depending on event demand.

General Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director of Banquets and Banquet Managers, the Lead Beverage Attendant will:
  • Assist the Managers and Captains in bar service, training and supervision of employees.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, including cash handling and liquor control procedures.
  • Lead the Bartenders and Servers in following Company and local policies and procedures.
  • Assist with orders and receiving product for the department; Conduct weekly inventory.
  • Monitor staffing levels in order to ensure labor cost is managed effectively.
  • Act as liaison with Clients during and prior to bar events.
  • Work with Managers on creating and developing an operational plan for each event for all Bartenders.
  • Assist Managers in overseeing proper, complete set-up and stocking of all bars prior to an event including, ensuring bars are placed in appropriate locations according to event requirements.
  • Assist in ensuring proper procedures are followed for all bars when reporting requisitions, transfers, bar sheets.
  • Control and supervise any additional supplies being taken to bars from bar cage or liquor room area.
  • Communicate with Beverage employees before each event so that everyone is operating with the same information regarding hours, pricing, type of payment (cash, hosted or ticket), etc.
  • Ensure that all bars and supplies such as alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, mixers, cups, and utensils are returned, accounted for and stored properly.
  • Ensure proper requisitions are completed for all products returned to the beverage/liquor room and complete any other relevant documentation as required.
  • Complete and submit all consumption sheets accurately and neatly for all bars.
  • Follow up after closing each event to ensure all areas, including bars, are properly cleaned.
  • Ensure bar equipment is operational and stored correctly.
  • Prepare Cashier accessories and monitor Cashiers.
  • Program credit card devices.
  • Notify Managers of any changes to employees’ scheduled time.
  • Ensure all areas are locked at closing time.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 
  • Previous alcohol/beverage experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Must have knowledge of cash register operation; utilize cash register log.
  • Serving it Right Certification and age 19 years or older to serve alcohol.
  • Experience in leading and directing the activities of employees and training.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and familiarity with standard drink recipes.
  • Must be familiar with all related beverage equipment.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and clients; proficiency in speaking, reading, writing and understanding English.
  • Exceptional focus on service excellence and ability to connect easily with guests.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks, as well as ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work well in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
  • College Diploma or higher in Hospitality/Hotel Management preferred.
  • Bartending course and 2 years experience in similar operation is an asset.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods and walk long distances throughout our large facility during each shift.
  • Must be able to lift and balance up to 25Lbs in weight regularly and able to lift up to 50Lbs on occasion.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced mobility throughout entire shift, be able to perform repetitive motions and be able to stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.
  • Must be able to go from warm to cold climates (workstation to coolers).
  • Push and pull properly loaded liquor carts, Roll Bars and glassware’s long distances.
  • Must have knowledge and training on the proper use of a pallet jack.

Shifts And Hours:
Scheduling flexibility is required to meet operational needs. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required.
