Job Title: Mountain Guide
Terms: Full-time, Seasonal - December 2017 to April 2018 availability
Wage: $30.45/hour
Benefits: 4% Vacation pay
Work Location: Based in a lodge 10 min outside of the city of Terrace, BC


  • Guide Helicopter Skiing (Heli-Skiing)
  • Assess avalanche danger, avalanche forecasting
  • Participate in morning and evening meetings and risk assessment
  • Demonstrate snow science and snow observation skills
  • Advise on safety and emergency procedures, techniques and the use of equipment
  • Provide first aid in emergency situations
  • Drive guests to and from staging areas
  • Socialize with guests

Job Requirements



  • ACMG (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides) Ski Guide or  IFMGA (International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations) certification with previous Heli-Skiing experience
  • Experience with avalanche forecasting
  • First Aid ticket and up to date CPR
  • Applicant must be fluent in English and Norwegian is considered and asset.
$30.45 per hour
