Job Description: 

Emelle's Catering Ltd is a multi-faceted catering company that serves large banquet events & weddings, provides corporate catering throughout the lower mainland, and operates a bustling café from our Mount Pleasant home base.

We currently have an opening for an experienced, energetic, personable & talented Operations Manager to lead our fun and fast paced catering operations team.​

Your responsibilities are to:

  • Oversee the Catering delivery drivers as they deliver & set up a variety of food, beverages & equipment in a wide range of venues
  • Implement Emelle’s Best Practices to effectively manage all controllable expenses within Operations department
  • Empower team members to use Best Practices to minimize late deliveries, damage & loss of equipment & vehicles.
  • Maintain ongoing long-range awareness of all resource & staffing requirements with regard to upcoming events
  • Proactive management of staffing requirements: Recruitment, interviewing, training, coaching & development as required

Job Requirements


As an Operations Manager for Emelle's Catering, you:

  • Have excellent customer service, leadership & team development skills
  • Are comfortable working in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude
  • Are able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Possess great time management and problem solving skills
  • Have a valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract
  • Are able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Have flexible availability as this position is not always 9-5
  • Have a good knowledge of Metro Vancouver streets
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the events or hospitality industry
