Showtime Event & Display is one of the leading tradeshow suppliers in the Province of British Columbia. We have a team of industry professionals to service our clients and deliver top quality results on every event. With the continuous success and growth we have been experiencing we are in need of talented team members to help contribute to our development. We are currently seeking Project Managers for our Lower Mainland office. As a Project Manager you are responsible for the maintenance & execution of assigned events. This will require you to proactively meet with clients to determine event needs, quote based on event requirements, provide hands-on delivery and execution of events, and supervise your team of professionals at a high level of satisfaction

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively liaise with Sales Manager and clients
  • Communicating with client to determine needs
  • Offer service/Product solutions
  • Organize show file & details
  • Quoting / Follow-Up
  • Confirm order (Receive client authorization form) / Advanced confirmation
  • Entry of event orders / Logistics plan (Client information, equipment pull sheet, labour requirements, site details/floor plans, pricing, possible cross rental)
  • Coordinate and Manage Event Team
  • Draft labour schedule & logistics requirements
  • Supervise event (procedures both in the Warehouse and On-site)
  • Monitor work hours and manage timelines
  • Supervise work quality
  • Be available to crew for questions
  • Monitor set-up and tear down of events
  • Supervise Tradeshow Technicians
  • Assign duties
  • Monitor work performance
  • Deliver performance appraisals (w/Regional Manager)
  • Supervise dismantle of event
  • Ensure all gear is loaded and accounted for
  • Supervise pack of truck (Ensure safety & efficiency)
  • Coordinate all cross rentals / Communicate with Warehouse Supervisor and Operations
  • Complete all event files (pre and post)
  • Monitor & manage event costs (profitability)
  • Record all client related changes / bill accordingly
  • Client follow-up post event / sell for following year
  • Complete all department invoicing and billing (support from Accounting department)
  • Provide training to technicians (advanced / focused)
  • Assist in Warehouse and Office when required

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 
  • 3+ years of experience managing events, with preference to tradeshow/banquet/events management experience
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Valid BC Driver's License / Forklift experience preferred
  • Must have strong communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to coordinate multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong leadership and initiative
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think under pressure and problem solve
  • Flexible to work periodic long and/or irregular hours, weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable driving cube vans and 1,3, or 5 Ton Trucks
