The Opportunity

Howe Sound Taphouse & Kitchen East Van serves award-winning ales and lagers fresh from Howe Sound Brewery. Our menu is full of house-made favourites & our chefs focus on freshness & unique flavours cooking with our beer, seasonal produce & local seafood. We are looking for a fun, personable and professional Server to provide memorable experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and service.

Job Types: Full-time, permanent
Salary: $16.75-$18.00/hour plus tips

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and make guests feel welcome
• Present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding menu items
• Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
• Recommend wine pairings
• Serve food and beverages
• Monitor tables to refill drinks, clear dishes and take additional requests, orders as necessary
• Process payments
• Work with other FOH and BOH staff to provide outstanding dining experiences to our guests

What You Have:

• 1+ years of experience in the same or a similar role is an asset
• Serving it Right certification or willing to obtain
• Able to handle complex situations in a timely and efficient manner
• Excellent team player
• Confident and professional with an engaging personality
• Experience with Point of Sale System
• Be fit and in shape

Salary/Wage

16.75-$18.00 per hour
